It's always worth going to this sort of meeting – much more interesting than you might expect and you can really get things done.
TEAM CALLY WARD PARTNERSHIP MEETING
6.30pm, Wednesday 25th May
Jean Stokes Community Centre, off Carnoustie Drive
Dear Resident,
Team Cally Ward Partnership Public Meeting: Wednesday 25th May at 6.30pm
Our neighbourhood is changing fast. Some things are for the better. Others are not. Over the past year, Islington Council and local residents have developed a plan to devolve decision-taking for our area. Now we want to hear your opinions about what matters most in our area.
Team Cally has been set up to improve the way that decisions are taken in our area. It is led by the 3 local Councillors so that public services are better coordinated and really meet the needs of local people. In the last year, Team Cally has attracted support and additional investment into the area, and has brought a number of opportunities to the ward, such as the Pathways construction project for young people.
Team Cally has developed a range of other opportunities to support adults looking for work over the past year and is currently working to plan and deliver the Cally Festival, which will run on the Caledonian Road on Sunday 3rd July and will be open to everyone.
We want Team Cally to continue to meet the needs of residents in the ward and to develop more opportunities that local people want and need. To help us to do this, we are pleased to invite you to a meeting of residents, local organisations and members of the Team Cally Partnership. The purpose of the meeting is for us to tell you more about what Team Cally has been achieving, and for you to tell us what you think should be the priorities for the coming 6 -12 months for your neighbourhood.
The meeting is an opportunity for you as residents to meet your local ward councillors, shape the future of neighbourhood management in the Caledonian Ward and decide the priorities for Team Cally. We hope that you will join us.
