Oh great. That’s the company that’s not even capable of switching off their lights at night despite numerous complaints so I don’t hold out much hope of them keeping the noise down. Ever tried keeping one of those noise diaries you have to keep for your local authority to take any useful action? It’s worse than having to deal with the noise…. ho hum…

I’m afraid this license, with these conditions, seems reasonable. The activities in this building bring money and jobs into the area, and already, through the addition of a national newspaper locating itself in it, positive national attention has been attracted – all of which contributes to the kind of place that I personally want to live in. Activities such as these (http://www.kingsplace.co.uk/about-kings-place/education-and-outreach/kpmf) also
need someone else to pay for them, and those someones are the people who go to the concerts, galleries and expect to be able to enjoy a drink or two and a meal etc.

Conditions have been attached that limit the outside noise – which frankly seems to be the only amenity that is being threatened as this is not the type of place that will affect public health (ie sell kebabs), encourage streetwalking or underage alcohol sales. I doubt its patrons will be fighting in the street outside either.
