The area around the electricity substation on Treaty Street has long been a black hole for tipping – ownership of the land is unclear so is responsibility for cleaning it. See here for past tipping problems. The spot is right next to a school too. Working through the network set up by the North Kings Cross Environmental Taskgroup Chris Demetriou at ICSL has helped to resolve the situation working with the school- the picture shows it looking nice and clean. And here is a ‘before’ shot.
Well done, let’s hope it stays this way. Chris’s email is below.

Please could you ensure that area around the electricity substation in Treaty Street is swept to a high standard on Tuesday. Governor Stevens at the Copenhagen Primary School will ask his Premises Manager to keep the area clean thereafter, I will also ask our Clean Team to regularly maintain the area. SEO’s will also monitor the dumping in the area.
If possible I would also appreciate your teams assistance in maintain the area on an ad-hoc basis.
Please see attached photographs of the area in it’s present state.
Thank you
Chris
