Just who is in charge here?
Network Rail is now owned and operated for the benefit of the public. WE pay their salaries. This is OUR community. We do not want an urban wall separating us from the Argent Development we want permeability (as Rodger Madelin as so often mentioned).
Politician after politician keeps telling us they are fighting for us, yet Network Rail continues to hold it’s ground and ignore logical and common sense – connect the front of the new station with a footbridge on Wharfdale Road and the South Western corner of Islington. Make it an interesting bridge that will be a destination location in itself and re-generate the area.
Surely someone out there has the power to make this happen!
Maybe it’s time for Boris to step in and show Islington Residents just what he’s made of?
