A fridge freezer has arrived on Rufford Street. At tis time of year it might be resting on its migration to warmer climes where its services are appreciated more. WIll call the Council to help it on its way.

Curiously this fridge has/had a scrawled message saying “gas removed … (date)…”. So someone has been sufficienly responsible to drain the CFC gas from its compressor but reckons it’s OK to leave on the pavement.
However, it could be this is a fridge scheduled for collection by Islington’s white goods removal service. If so, it’s another case of officially sanctioned street dumping. If you call and ask for fridge removal, Islington will give you a collection date denominated in weeks not days. You will only get promised “week commencing …” and be told to leave the item on the pavement to be collected sometime in that week.
